Medical Surgical Unit - Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 9 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience within the past 12 months.

• 3 months of experience with Meditech is preferred from any number of months.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred from any number of months

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Telemetry experience

Floating Requirements: Floating Areas: Med Surg, telemetry (if certified)

Shift & Scheduling: -Weekends and On call(if any) -Every other weekend, no call -Must be able to start within 4-5 weeks to apply

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Specialized aspects of care on unit / management of: Complex wounds Administration of blood products Pain management Tubes & drains – NG, PEG, feeding tubes, surgical drains Chest tubs

Equipment Used on Unit: – telemetry (bedside monitors), vein finder, bladder scanner, EKG machine, Doppler, Hoyer Lift, glucometer, pulse ox, scales, wound vac
