As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a commercial real estate location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, staying visible throughout the property to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff. You will also be expected to communicate clearly and professionally, responding to situations as they arise and supporting the overall security-related operations of the site. What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity and/or conditions to Allied Universal management and client representatives. Assist with access control measures and verify the credentials of individuals entering the premises as required by site policies. Communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and/or employees, offering assistance and information as needed. Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience. Must have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or possess a college degree. Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Must be at least 21 years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
