Work Model:

Monday–Friday, approx. 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (9-hour day including 1-hour lunch); occasional Saturdays as workload requires

Nature & Scope:

Positional Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer will lead process design, optimization, and continuous improvement across PCB/electronics assembly operations. This role partners closely with production to improve first-pass yield, reduce scrap/rework, standardize methods, and ensure repeatable, high-quality output.

Responsible for production tooling and equipment requirements to support defined manufacturing processes. Implement Lean Process/Methods throughout production to achieve efficiency and cost savings. Measure key manufacturing process performance metrics. Develop and create production processes and control plans. Create and optimize processes for SMT, wave soldering, part prepping, coating/potting. Conduct training for production team members to ensure proper execution of defined processes. Provide technical leadership to the production team and New Product Introduction (NPI). Improve and implement production methods, equipment performance, process capability, and product quality with consistency and repeatability. Lead manufacturing teams to comply with control plans and customer requirements. Review and approve production tools, fixtures, and equipment spare part requisitions. Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to interpret product requirements, resolve manufacturing-related issues, and streamline instructions. Eliminate waste, reduce setup/changeover times, and improve first-pass yield while reducing rework and scrap. Skills & Experience

Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive

7+ years of

process/manufacturing

engineering experience in PCB assembly environments. Strong knowledge of SMT, through-hole, wave soldering, coating/potting, and related board-assembly methods. Familiarity with IPC-610 and IPC-600 standards. Ability to read

blueprints/schematics

and translate requirements into robust processes and control plans. Strong computer skills (Excel) and excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications

Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma

training/certification. Experience designing tooling/fixtures and standardizing work. Proven history improving first-pass yield and reducing scrap/rework.
