Practice Managers/Area Practice Managers/Service Line Managers Summary of Position The AVP – Medical Operations provides strategic oversight and ensures operational performance for Medical Operations within an assigned geography, under the direction of the VP of Operations. Provides leadership, guidance, and direction in achieving outcomes consistent with organizational mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives. Assumes leadership responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinically effective and efficient systems of care and service within the continuum of care. Education:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Administration, Healthcare or related field; MBA or MHA preferred Experience:

10+ years site operations management experience required Key Responsibilities (10-Core) Supports implementing goals and objectives consistent with the organizational mission and philosophy. Leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of care delivery models and services that meet or exceed customer expectations. Provides effective and coordinated leadership of patient care within specified patient service areas. Directs oversight functions responsible for compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and 3rd party payer regulations and standards. Collaborates with other departments within the organization to promote the development and use of evidence-based, outcome-driven treatment methods, which are deemed "best-practice" through comprehensive benchmarking of care provided to patient populations of comparable severity and clinical risk. Maintains flexibility in the business unit which allows for easy transition of resources in order to respond to changes in practice or demand in the health care market. Leads and mentors a multidisciplinary work force, which provides clinically competent, efficient, and compassionate care and services in a professionally challenging work environment. Responsible for the selection, development, and performance of leadership staff in their region. Reviews and evaluates the performance of the leadership staff to ensure a healthy corporate culture and provides leadership to improve their effectiveness and efficiency. Develops and continuously improves mentoring systems to promote knowledge transfer between clinical professionals, which will serve to enhance patient care and promote professional growth. Uses operational and financial data/analytics as well as clinical evidence to guide and drive change in the business unit. Helps to manage fiscal oversite of allocated resources to generate revenue and optimize efficient and effective utilization.
