Your Role As a Design Engineer specializing in CNC integration and post-processing, you will own the technical pipeline between CAD design and CNC production. You will create detailed digital models, program and optimize toolpaths for Biesse CNC routers, and configure post-processing routines to ensure flawless execution on the shop floor. Your work will set the technical and process foundation for quality coach conversion builds, ensuring design intent translates directly into manufacturing precision and final product delivery. Responsibilities

Design Development: Create and refine CAD models and assemblies for cabinetry, wall panels, fixtures, and custom furniture in coach conversions. CNC Integration: Develop, program, and optimize toolpaths for Biesse CNC routers, ensuring compatibility with file formats (.cix, ISO) and accurate translation from CAD to CAM. Post-Processing: Configure and troubleshoot post-processing routines for Biesse equipment, including tool compensation, nesting, and machining strategies. Documentation: Produce bills of materials (BOMs), shop drawings, and work instructions to support production and installation. Production Support: Collaborate with shop staff during CNC setup, run-off, and quality checks, advising on fixture design, materials, and process improvements. Continuous Improvement: Analyze workflow bottlenecks and introduce new methods to improve efficiency, safety, and quality in both design and production. Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field. 5+ years of experience in CNC programming, CAD/CAM engineering, or millwork design. High-level proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or equivalent). Proven experience with CNC programming software and Biesse router post-processors (.cix, ISO). Strong knowledge of cabinetry construction methods, joinery, and material selection. Hands-on experience with CNC setup, troubleshooting, and process optimization. Hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical systems (12v/24v, 120v/240v), and systems integration. Ability to generate manufacturable, CNC-ready outputs with precision and efficiency. Nice to Have Background in luxury interiors, coach/RV conversions, high-end millwork, or luxury yacht interiors. Experience with Autodesk Vault, Revit, or BIM tools. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Familiarity with woodworking machinery and advanced finishing techniques.
