dedicated and experienced Clinical Counselor

to join our team. This role is critical in providing high-quality counseling services with a focus on

substance use and mental health disorder treatment , while fostering a supportive therapeutic environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. individual counseling services

with a focus on evidence-based practices.

Facilitate group therapy sessions, including psychoeducation and family groups when appropriate.

Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and ongoing evaluations of client needs.

Develop and monitor individualized person-centered service plans.

Provide crisis intervention and ensure appropriate linkage to medical, psychological, and psychiatric services.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support integrated care.

Monitor and document client progress in compliance with state, agency, and federal guidelines.

Participate in quality improvement, peer reviews, and clinical supervision.

Support interns through supervision and training when assigned.

Perform drug screenings, administer medications as trained/required, and complete incident reporting when necessary.

Maintain professional standards in alignment with governing boards, code of ethics, and organizational protocols.

Education and Training Required

Master’s Degree in Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field approved by the NCASPPB.

License/Certification

Required

Must hold a dual license or dual associate license

in one of the following combinations: LCSW/LCAS

LCMHC/LCAS

LMFT/LCAS

Licensure must be active and in good standing.

Experience

Experience in individual therapy is strongly preferred.

Experience in

community mental health and substance use disorder treatment

required.

Training in

trauma-informed care

and

brief therapy

preferred.

Skills and Qualifications

Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to maintain a pleasant, professional demeanor with clients and colleagues.

Strong organizational skills and work ethic.

Valid NC or SC Driver’s License.
