Job Summary: The Veggie Mixer is responsible for accurately measuring, mixing, and preparing vegetable ingredients to meet production specifications. This role ensures all mixes are consistent, food-safe, and aligned with company quality standards. The Veggie Mixer works collaboratively with team members to maintain efficient production flow while adhering to all safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Preparation and Mixing: Measure and mix vegetable ingredients according to batch recipes and production schedules. Operate and monitor mixing equipment to ensure consistent product quality. Adjust ingredient proportions as necessary to meet quality specifications. Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Set up, operate, and clean mixing equipment according to company procedures. Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any issues to the maintenance team. Follow proper procedures for equipment shutdowns and sanitation. Quality Assurance: Inspect vegetable ingredients for freshness, quality, and compliance with specifications before mixing. Document batch details, including ingredient quantities, lot numbers, and deviations from the standard process. Work closely with the QA team to address quality concerns or adjustments. Food Safety and Compliance: Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and follow all company food safety policies. Ensure allergen protocols are followed to prevent cross-contamination. Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times. Production Support: Coordinate with production line teams to ensure a steady supply of mixed vegetables to meet production demand. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify supervisors of shortages or overstock situations. Assist in production area tasks as needed. Record-Keeping: Accurately complete production logs, including batch records, waste logs, and equipment cleaning checklists. Track ingredient usage and report discrepancies to supervisors. Safety Compliance: Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and safe operation of equipment. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient production flow. Communicate any issues, delays, or concerns promptly to the appropriate parties. Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or management to support overall production goals.

Qualification Requirements

: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical equipment preferred. Experience: Prior experience in food manufacturing or mixing roles is preferred but not required. Skills and Abilities: Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes accurately. Basic math skills to measure and scale ingredients. Attention to detail to ensure consistent product quality. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, lift, and move for extended periods in a fast-paced production environment. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and handling repetitive tasks. Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures, including cold storage. Knowledge: Understanding of GMPs and food safety protocols is preferred. Familiarity with basic mixing equipment and processes is a plus.

Physical Demands: Compliance with safety requirements, including PPE such as safety footwear, hearing protection, and safety glasses. Capability to work in variable temperatures and handle physical tasks like lifting up to 50 lbs. Standing or walking for extended periods and maneuvering around equipment.

Work Environment: This position works in a manufacturing environment with variable temperature and loud noises from machinery and equipment alarms. The incumbent will be exposed to loud noises and alarms from equipment and machinery. Some tasks may require additional safety measures to ensure the safe completion of the task.
