Job Description

We are looking for a Lead Analytics Engineer.  This position will be full-time  and remote.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as technical lead on analytics delivery efforts, overseeing development of enterprise dashboards, reusable semantic models, and curated datasets across Power BI and Tableau platforms

  • Design, document, and implement scalable data solutions using dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and cloud-native compute environments

  • Mentor analytics engineers on code quality, performance optimization, visual best practices, and data modeling standards.

  • Perform solution reviews, validate adherence to enterprise governance standards, and identify areas for continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with data platform, data engineering, and architecture teams to implement governed, performant pipelines and support semantic model lifecycle management

  • Apply advanced DAX, LOD expressions, and SQL for high-performance calculations, analytics logic, and reusable metrics

  • Partner with the BI Strategy team to translate business requirements into technically sound, scalable solutions that align with enterprise priorities

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field with 6-8 years of experience; Master’s degree with 4-6 years preferred.

  • 4+ years of hands-on development in Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense or other BI technologies, delivering enterprise-scale reports, semantic models, and analytics assets.

  • Expertise in semantic modeling, star/snowflake schema design, and dimensional data modeling practices.

  • Strong hands-on experience with DAX, Level of Detail (LOD) expressions, advanced SQL, and programming languages such as Python or R, as well as data preparation tools including Alteryx, Power Query, and Tableau Prep.

  •  · Familiarity with modern data warehousing technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse, or equivalent platforms.

  • Experience with generative AI and natural language technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, Salesforce Einstein, Databricks Ginni, or other LLM-driven analytics tools.

  • Experience implementing version control and code review processes using Git or equivalent tools.

  • Proven ability to lead technical workstreams, mentor junior team members, and uphold quality in fast-paced agile environments.

  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical details for business audiences.

  • Knowledge of IBCS, data storytelling techniques, and perceptual design principles.

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

The pay range for this position is $65.00- $75.00per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave as provided by applicable law. ​
