SUMMARY : The Peer Services Supervisor manages and supports peer staff in delivering high-quality services that promote recovery, engagement, and empowerment for individuals and families experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges. As part of our integrated, whole-person care model, peer support plays a vital role in helping clients connect with services, stay engaged in treatment, and build pathways towards wellness. The Peer Services Supervisor ensures that peer services are delivered in a person-centered, family-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive manner, and works to integrate peer services as a vital element of care. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Staff Supervision and Leadership Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, hiring and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; providing coaching and development (inclusive of providing supervision for direct service work) to enhance professional development and ensure quality services; addressing concerns, resolving problems, and escalating issues to leadership as needed; and completing administrative documentation as required by the position. Assumes responsibility for the work done by all peer support workers. Lead weekly team meetings to facilitate communication and ensure coordinated care with treatment teams. Ensure staff meet direct service hours expectations and maintain high standards of documentation and service quality. Monitor staff compliance with required training and administrative policies. Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive workplace culture that is collaborative and aligned with peer support principles. Supporting the Peer Model Champion recovery-oriented, peer-driven approaches in all aspects of service delivery while promoting the values of empowerment, choice, and self-determination. Stay informed of best practices in peer support and coach staff in applying these approaches. Client Care and Peer Services Provide direct peer support services each week for a small caseload of clients. Identify and respond to changes in client needs, including assessing for risk, reporting safety concerns and incidents, and coordinating with other service providers. Deliver services in the home, community settings, in-office, and virtually, as appropriate. Respond to client and family needs outside of scheduled sessions, including during crises, and involve clinical staff as indicated. Program Operations and Compliance Monitor staff caseloads and ensure appropriate service provision for all clients. Coordinate with Mental Health Supervisors to staff shared client cases and ensure an integrated approach to care. Assist with scheduling to ensure client needs are met and health records reflect services provided. Ensure fidelity to evidence-based models and the Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) Code of Ethics, and compliance with documentation standards, billing requirements, organizational policies, and regulatory and accreditation standards. Complete and review service documentation to ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness. Organizational Collaboration Collaborate with the VP of Behavioral Health, Director of Mental Health Services, Director of Substance Use Disorder Services, and other Supervisors to meet performance goals and programmatic needs. Participate in cross-team initiatives and care coordination with other internal services. Attend required organizational meetings, in-services, training sessions, and consultation groups. Provide mission-focused care, supervision, and leadership towards improving the health of our communities and empowering individuals through compassionate, whole-person care. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred. At least 5 years of experience in a peer support role. Current Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Certification required. Supervisory experience required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work environment may include client homes and a general office environment. Local travel, including transporting clients, is required. OTHER Must maintain a safe driving record and have current valid Illinois Driver's License. Personal vehicle needed. Staff will transport clients and their belongings in their personal vehicle. Mileage for authorized work-related purposes is reimbursable. PAY & BENEFIT INFORMATION $50,000-62,000* * Wage is based on one's experience, qualifications, and bilingual language skills as compared with our position requirements and other similar employees within the organization.
