Responsibilities under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) include delivering efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family satisfaction. This includes evaluating patients/residents to collect data, observing conditions and reporting changes in condition, contributing to nursing assessments and care planning, administering medications and performing treatments per physician orders, and supervising and monitoring patient care provided by unlicensed staff.

Qualifications include being a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing, currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensed practical nurse licensure, and maintaining current BLS/CPR certification if applicable.
