Lapeer-based plastic injection molding facility is seeking Experienced Forklift Drivers/Material Handlers to join their growing team. Support the molding department by performing a variety of material related tasks. Qualifications:
Must have a valid fork truck license issued by Mold Masters Company. Follows directions correctly as instructed and pays attention to detail. High school diploma or GED is required. Must have 1-5 years of verifiable forklift/material handling experience. Job Responsibilities:
Sign in and out all material to be used. Confirm correct material used at each press. Place material in proper area at each machine. Keep hoppers loaded. Ensure lids are on material to prevent contamination. Follow notification procedure if material is contaminated. Notify quality personnel when material lot number changes. Ensure stock is rotated using FIFO. Notify supervision when material is getting low. Sign packaging in and out. Remove old labels from returnable packaging before moving to press. Ensure packaging is provided to operators according to the Job Instruction Book. Packaging used at press for scrap parts is to be labeled “Scrap”. Provide components to operators as required in the Job Instruction Books. Ensure color changes are completed in a timely manner. Remove and store material no longer being used. Ensure scrap parts of old color are ground or removed from area. If applicable, make sure grinder is cleaned out for new color. Remove finished parts of old color from press. Prior to moving finished parts from molding, check for approved quality stamp on label. Move mold only finished parts to warehouse staging area. Move parts to be flocked and/or assembled to flocking staging area. Assist supervisor in cleaning of oven (bi-weekly). Empty garbage in dumpster and bail all cardboard. Operate forklift as required. Clean and organize packaging areas. All machines and area around machines are to be kept clean. Know and follow all TS-16949 and ISO-14001 policies and procedures.
