Stock Clerical I - 1st Shift
Performs manual and clerical duties, frequently utilizing computers in the processing of field returned electronic medical devices. Oversee the day to day activities within the area to ensure daily output goals are met. At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows an onsite work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at five days per week. Your responsibilities will include: Examines shipment containers at the time of delivery for any damage and verifies the accuracy of information listed on the packing slips, invoices, and freight bills by opening the packages and visually inspecting the contents in order to ensure accurate deliveries. Enters material information (e.g., Return number) into the business computer system and generate material return receipt to provide material traceability. Transports material (e.g., production and non-production materials) upon request, using a forklift or pallet jack to the designated location. May be required to utilize pallet wrapper, bander and other materials and devices to properly prepare materials for transport. Receives out-going shipments from internal customers and packages items using the appropriate materials (e.g., cardboard boxes and packaging tape) to properly prepare items for shipment. Processes the receipt of finished goods and/or components, following written and verbal instruction using both internal and external data entry software for tracking. Performs pick, pack and ship operations according to established practices and applicable work instructions. Records shipment information using the carrier service's systems and methods (e.g., Federal Express, UPS) for shipping traceability. Reads, comprehends and follows basic job instructions and/or protocols including verbal, written, diagramed, colored and other related documents; written in English. Acts as an internal and external customer interface. Reviews physical labels to ensure the correct Batch Number prior to transacting electronically (100% Quality). Drives actions to ensure appropriate stocking levels are maintained in Component Crib and Distribution Center without disruption to customers while partnering with Purchasing, Manufacturing and Finished Goods Production Coordinators and Team Leads through open communication and teamwork. Completes material movement transactions utilizing SAP and complaint management systems. Performs SAP transactions to clearly identify status and history of product. Uses BSC complaint system to locate and update applicable complaint records to ensure appropriate signaling and visibility to physical location of complaint material. Uses BSC Service system to understand "reason for return" to aid in return disposition. Physically labels component material and packages for shipment and manufacturing to ensure 100% traceability in SAP and MES Prepares shipments to both internal & external customers while transacting in SAP for full traceability. Reads, comprehends and follows basic job instructions and/or protocols including verbal, written, diagramed, colored and other related documents; written in English. Assisting in the analyzing, designing, and implementation of manufacturing and business process improvement through continuous improvement. Job may require lifting boxes of up to 50lbs. Orders supplies needed for operating within the area Required qualifications: 1 years of experience with a high school degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience. Experience working in SAP. Strong experience working with Microsoft Office (Ex. Excel, Word, etc.) Preferred qualifications: Strong communication skills
