VCA McClave Animal Hospital is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Client Service Representative/Receptionist to join our team, part-time. We're looking for a personable yet highly professional "service extraordinaire" to join us in delivering our mission to our clients and their pets. We are a busy, General Practice/Urgent Care hospital with multiple doctors and a wide range of presenting cases. The right candidate will be able to multi-task, thrive in a fast-paced environment, be empathetic, consistent and responsive to our clients, advocate for our patients and work cohesively with the team to help provide world-class medicine and hometown care. As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities. The CSR is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for: Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms. Scheduling and confirming appointments. Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients. Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments. Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions. Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control). Managing medical records, documentation, reports and correspondence. Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste), cleaning and sanitizing common areas and exam rooms between visits, maintaining and adhering to infection control standards set in place by all regulatory agencies, and ensuring personal workspaces and the facility is neat and clean at all timesboth inside and outside. Open 7 days a week, applicants must be available to work one weekend day a week. Shifts are typically staggered throughout the day, with the earliest shift starting around 6:30am, and the latest ending around 7:00pm.
