Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 10 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with 1-2 years of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures for a day shift assignment. Responsibilities Position is based in a short-term acute care, Magnet-designated, Level III trauma hospital Work in a cardiac cath lab focusing on diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with some weekend call and occasional Saturday shifts Approximately one on-call night per week and every 4th or 5th weekend Will float within scope as needed and may float to affiliated nearby hospitals Patient population is primarily adults requiring cardiac catheterization and interventions Procedures include stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP placement/removal, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, PA line insertion, temporary pacemaker Charting is completed using Excellian/Epic Responsibilities include accurate monitoring, equipment setup, EKG lead placement, preparation of access sites, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulation, scrubbing and maintaining a sterile field, and vascular closure Unit provides scrub uniforms Pre-assignment modules and onsite training are required and reimbursed Orientation includes Excellian/Epic charting classes Return staff must be gone at least one year from last shift as a perm employee to be eligible Ideally, no more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) per assignment A background check with fingerprinting is required according to Minnesota state law Allina Health does not provide references to travelers post-assignment or for previous perm staff Parking is available at a flat hourly rate Requirements Minimum of 1-2 years recent experience in a diagnostic or interventional cardiac cath lab Current ACLS and BLS certifications required Experience scrubbing and monitoring in cath lab procedures is required Documented experience in cardiac stent placement, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, interpreting dysrhythmias, vascular closure systems, and related procedures Epic/Excellian EMR experience required Open to first-time travelers with a minimum of 2 years cath lab experience Valid state license preferred; pending license accepted if applicable Local candidates are accepted for this radiology position Candidates must live at least 100 miles away unless applying for local radiology roles Must provide at least one supervisor reference for consideration License required if applicable Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID 2990736.
