Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 3 years experience in a Trauma Level 1 facility and current ARRT and BLS certifications. Responsibilities Work in an Interventional Radiology department at an acute care hospital setting Role focuses strictly on Interventional Radiology, not general x-ray procedures Trauma Level 1 facility experience required Typical schedule is five 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential for four 10-hour shifts depending on staffing Call schedule includes one weekend every three months and one weekday evening as needed Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital within scope as required Position uses PACS and Radiology Information Systems (RIS), with responsibility for image review and documentation Assist radiologists in performing complex diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures Prepare and set up sterile equipment, physiological monitors, pressure injectors, and imaging equipment Prepare and administer contrast media, medications, and IV solutions as prescribed Perform radiation safety practices, including patient shielding and ALARA techniques Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures Participate in training for new personnel or students as needed Responsible for supply management and quality assurance procedures Online modules must be completed and passed on-site prior to start date No blocked scheduling allowed Report to lab for drug screening within 24 hours of assignment commitment Scrubs or uniform requirements apply per hospital policy All RTO must be disclosed prior to offer; any post-offer RTO will require manager approval First-time travelers may be considered Requirements Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology technologist experience Experience in a Trauma Level 1 healthcare facility required Cath Lab experience necessary Active ARRT registration with advanced registry in CI, VI, or CV required Current AHA BLS certification required Active Michigan license required if applicable High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Continued medical education hours must be maintained COVID vaccination is required to be eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID 36301825.
