The Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for leading the analysis, implementation, and optimization of clinical and administrative systems to support organizational goals, improve operational efficiency, and enhance patient care. This role serves as the primary liaison between clinical users, IT teams, and software vendors while ensuring regulatory compliance and high levels of system performance. The Clinical Systems Analyst works collaboratively across multiple departments, providing technical expertise, training, and guidance to ensure successful system adoption and utilization.

You Will Focus On:

  • Lead the analysis, design, testing, and implementation of EMR/EHR system enhancements, integrations, and upgrades.
  • Manage EMR-related projects end-to-end, including requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, testing, and deployment.
  • Translate clinical and operational needs into technical solutions, ensuring systems are configured to optimize workflows.
  • Act as the primary liaison between end users, IT teams, and software vendors to align on system requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
  • Analyze healthcare data from EMR/EHR platforms, claims systems, and quality reporting tools (e.g., HEDIS, CMS Star Ratings) to identify trends and support operational improvements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process enhancements that improve system usability and end-user satisfaction.
  • Provide strategic oversight and mentorship for junior analysts, superusers, and other team members involved in clinical systems support.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, NCQA, CMS, and other healthcare data privacy and security regulations.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving regulatory requirements to inform system strategy and continuous improvement.
The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting Athena software required


Base Salary

$80,000 - $90,000/yr

Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
