Human Resources Assistant Details:

  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $22.00 to $24.00 /hour
  • Full Time work available
  • First Shift (Monday through Thursday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)
  • Support and administer employee benefits: medical, dental, vision, retirement, and more. Be the contact for benefits questions, resolving issues quickly and professionally.
  • Coordinate open enrollment and keep accurate benefits documentation.
  • Create smooth starts for new hires; prepare offer letters, run engaging orientations, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with IT and departments to ensure every new employee is set up for success.
  • Track onboarding progress and keep the communication flowing.
  • Assist in handling sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Help lead employee engagement efforts and remote communication.
  • Engage with remote employees to keep communication open
  • Back-up to the Administrative & Finance departments

Human Resources Assistant Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent working knowledge in the related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in HR, preferably with exposure to benefits, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • High level of discretion and integrity in handling confidential information.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices is a plus.
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
