The
Floor Technician
(multiple shift available) is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of all floor surfaces throughout the facility. This includes sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning. The ideal candidate has experience in commercial cleaning and floor care, takes pride in their work, and ensures all areas meet quality, sanitation, and aesthetic requirements.
Job specifications are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed by employees. Specifications are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Perform floor maintenance duties including sweeping, dust mopping, wet mopping, stripping, waxing, and burnishing floors Clean, maintain, and install carpets using various tools (i.e., extractors, shampooers, and bonnet machines) Must be able to operate floor care equipment such as auto scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums safely and efficiently Manage/remove trash Must adhere to safety and sanitation standards Comply with policies and procedures, especially those related to infection control and safety Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the management team immediately upon identification Keep janitorial closets organized and maintain inventory of supplies and chemicals Perform other housekeeping or custodial duties as needed throughout the facility Must be a team-oriented professional. Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) Certificate US Citizenship Required and ability to pass a government clearance Must have a valid state driver’s license with no major infractions Reliable transportation to work Must have knowledge and understanding of acceptable sanitation and cleaning procedures and understanding of occupational safety and health regulations Ability to work on site during normal working hours; position may require occasional call-ins for special circumstances Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment operation Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality cleanliness standards Ability to adapt to workplace environment & organizational change Flexibility to work variables, including overtime Must be reliable, dependable, punctual, maintain good attendance Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and fulfill physical tasks for extended periods.
Additional Qualifying Factors As a condition of employment, it may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
Security Clearance It is mandatory that all Contractor personnel working onsite at federal facilities meet federal government security clearance standards. ICMS shall submit security clearance information for each employee, as required by current government identification card application procedures and future requirements as applicable.

This position is eligible for overtime compensation if required. Health and Welfare benefits are up to $1,550.00 per month.
