FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER / TECHNICIANS

Since 1994, our client has been a pioneer in the global digital imaging industry. Headquartered in Sarasota, Florida, they partner with major brands and manufacturers who need advanced marketing, an integrated and flexible supply chain, and technical sales capabilities.
They are currently seeking (2) Field Service Engineering Technicians for the Dallas, TX and Chicago, IL areas who are responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of print manufacturing equipment. Although remote in nature, this role requires significant regional travel, a high degree of independence, and customer service excellence. Additionally, the Field Service Engineer is expected to obtain and maintain relevant certifications to ensure expertise in the platforms and technologies supported, staying abreast of industry advancements.
Position Description / Responsibilities
Service Existing and New Accounts:
Install and maintain print production equipment, ensuring proper setup and optimal functioning at customer sites
Pre Installation Scoping:
Scope and, when necessary, conduct facility pre-installation meetings with customers, and their contractors, to confirm necessary utility modifications for proper equipment installation and operation
Troubleshoot and Repair:
Diagnose, repair, and document service issues with machinery in customer facilities, maintaining detailed records
Equipment Demonstration:
Inspect, install, familiarize, and demonstrate equipment to customers, ensuring they are fully trained and satisfied with the setup
Customer Support:
Analyze customer helpdesk tickets, identify solutions, suggest improve methods and techniques, and recommend system improvements to enhance customer satisfaction
Logistics Coordination:
Assist the operations team in coordinating logistics for equipment and parts delivery to and from vendors and other locations, ensuring timely and efficient operations.
Documentation:
Complete all required documentation, including service records, service tickets for billing, warranty records, expense reports, and purchase records
Position Requirements
Mechanical and Schematics Aptitude:
High proficiency in mechanical and schematics understanding and application
Electronics Aptitude:
Moderate proficiency in electronics, necessary for effective troubleshooting and repair
Customer Service Skills:
Strong customer service skills to maintain positive relationship. Meticulous atts and ensure customer satisfaction
Analytical and Problem-solving Skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and fix equipment issues efficiently
Attention to Detail:
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and accurate documentation
Communication Skills
: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
