Pioneer Motor Bearing
Manufacturing Cost Estimator -- Precision Bearings & Rotating Equipment
Pioneer Motor Bearing, Kings Mountain, North Carolina, United States, 28086
Job Description
Job Description Build smarter quotes for world‑class rotating equipment Pioneer Motor Bearing Company partners with OEMs and end users to engineer, manufacture, repair, and upgrade large rotating equipment so it runs more efficiently, more reliably, and for longer. We are a service-driven organization with a fast pace and a clear goal: exceptional customer satisfaction. A day in this role Morning starts with requests from Sales: you’ll clarify customer expectations and gather any missing inputs, then dive into drawings, process specs, and material specs. You’ll evaluate GD&T and BOMs, flag gaps, and coordinate with QA, Engineering, and Production to confirm capabilities and call out exceptions that fall outside our current processes. From there, you’ll contact vendors and outside service providers for firm pricing and delivery, and you’ll compile TVC, labor hours, and lead times into estimate quote sheets stored in Google Drive. You’ll prepare detailed timesheets—incorporating setup times and machining formulas aligned with Pioneer’s processes—to arrive at realistic manufacturing and repair durations. You’ll mine our ERP/CRM (Salesforce) job history to benchmark similar work, refine estimates, and provide quick-turn “ballpark” quotes when details are limited. Throughout, you’ll partner closely with Sales, answering customer questions, noting material substitutions, and highlighting complexity that may affect labor rates. When needed, you’ll be the cross-trained backup for procurement, keeping momentum when the procurement agent is out. The regular schedule is 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, at our Kings Mountain plant. What you’ll deliver
