Develop, optimize, and oversee companys procurement and logistic process, warehousing and inventory control, customer services on products logistics and quality issues, and supervisory / training of supporting staff. The specific duties include: (1) Develop procurement and logistic operating strategies, plans and procedures; (2) Conduct comprehensive vendor search to identify and evaluation potential suppliers which meet the products requirements; (3) Review vendor quotes and work with products team to validate quality and manufactory capacity align with companys expectation and operational goals; (4) Regularly monitor fluctuations of raw material prices to stay informed of market trends; (5) Create supply chain management strategies that increase efficiency and speed; (6) Work with purchasing team in determining most cost-efficient / delivery-reliable shipping methods / routes, and negotiate contract with freight forwarders / shipping carriers; (7) Search and select carriers for transportation and negotiate rates and contracts with carriers; (8) Set up monitoring procedure to oversee the seamless movement of products across the supply chain by monitoring a wide range of logistics factors (booking, inland transit time, ocean freight time, rail, port delay, etc.); (9) Optimize warehouse functions and maintain inventory; (10) Analyze supply chain / logistics data and performance; (11) Direct supervisors and staff in daily activity to expedite response time to customers, respond and resolve complains and other problems; (12) Provide insight into new logistics technologies and skill sets, and support company marketing functions; (13) Train and mentor employees including reinforcement of safety guidelines; and (14) Monitor, manage and report procurement and supply chain related budgets issues.
1 year of experience in the same or a position involving supply chain management and logistics.
Bachelors degree (or the equivalent) in Business Administration, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or in a closely related field
