Summary of Job Function Ensures that quality, age-appropriate nursing care is delivered to all patients in his/her nursing unit in accordance with the philosophy, policies, procedures and program plans of the hospital, Assists with the development of patient care standards orientation and continuing education, Evaluates staff performance in accordance with organizational policies, Develops, implements and maintains a unit budget, Participates in nursing quality assurance, Maintains unit administration, including scheduling and maintenance of supplies and equipment, Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care, Ensure that unit department division is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations, Job Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, and currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred, Minimum of 3 to 5 years acute nursing experience with one year of nursing department experience, Certifications as required by law and or regulation for an area or specialization, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Organizational ability, nurse management and leadership skills, Demonstrated clinical expertise in area standards, Successful completion of all Orientation Programs, Scheduling Requirements: Evening Shift, 3 PM-11 PM, Full-Time Benefits and Perks : At RWJBarnabas Health, our employees are at the heart of everything we do.
