Overview

Smith Event Centers is looking for a proactive Administrative Assistant to support our four East Tennessee wedding and event venues. This role blends administrative and accounting support with hands-on event assistance, offering variety and flexibility in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Greet clients, answer phones/emails, and schedule/lead venue tours
  • Prepare and maintain event contracts, folders, invoices, and deposits
  • Process client payments and assist with accounts payable/receivable
  • Support event setup and breakdown on select weekends
  • Maintain venue organization, supplies, and vendor coordination
  • Assist with social media posts and other light marketing tasks
  • General office support: data entry, filing, and correspondence

Schedule

  • One to two additional days: 11:00 AM – 5:00/6:00 PM (flexible, preference for Thursdays/Fridays)
  • Weekend availability for occasional event setup/breakdown and working the event

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Reliable, professional, and adaptable, with a valid driver’s license
  • Comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs and assisting with event materials
