Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Location (city, state): Evanston, IL
Assignment Type: Contract to Hire
Base pay range: $20.00/hr - $22.00/hr
Pay: $20-22/hourly (based on experience)

Job Summary
This position will support diverse administrative functions and provide in-person support at Headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Provides day-to-day front desk and administrative support to ensure efficient operations of the office
- Answers and directs phone calls, schedules meetings and supports visitors. Prepares mailings and packages for delivery.
- Carries out administrative duties such as filing, record keeping, mailing, copying, scanning, and other clerical functions.
- Coordinates and schedules national events, meetings, and logistics, which includes securing space, arranging for food/refreshments, preparing materials, and confirming participant reservations, and attendance.
- May record meeting minutes and distribute them.
- Participates in event planning, as required.
- Maintains supplies inventory across offices by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies.
- Ensures operation of office equipment by ensuring preventive maintenance; evaluates new equipment and process.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of administrative experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- High School Diploma or equivalent
