Job Description
- Execute data profiling and data quality testing and reporting tasks as assigned.
- Help execute the firm-wide data vision and strategy related to Data Profiling, Data Quality Testing, and Measurement capabilities.
- Establish best practices, standards, policies, and procedures for utilizing data profiling and data quality tools to proactively identify data quality issues.
- Provide guidance and assistance to technologists in developing requirements, Data Quality rules, and scorecards.
- Guide Data Stewards and Data Analysts in utilizing Data Quality tools and adopting data quality standards, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with DQ Issues groups and LOB stakeholders to define best practices for DQ Profiling and Measurement.
- Maintain high-quality standards to ensure Data Profiling, Testing, and Measurement are coherent, accurate, and timely.
- Partner with the CDO, LOB, and Technology support groups to ensure a high-quality product and operating environment.
- Assist in developing a Firm-wide Data Quality “Lab” to advise and help smaller teams utilize Data Quality Testing & Profiling capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (3-5 years).
- 1 - 3 years of experience in a Data Governance organization.
- 3 – 5 years of project management experience.
- Experience with Data Quality Profiling, Execution, and Measurement is highly desirable.
- Excellent prioritization, planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Proven ability to work across diverse groups, build consensus, and execute plans.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to tailor communication to different levels and audiences, including Technology, Operations, and Finance.
- Able to influence diverse stakeholder groups.
- Ability to quickly understand complex systems and their interdependencies.
- Adaptability to opportunities through change.
- Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable communicating at all management levels.
- Quick learner with technical knowledge and system understanding.
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and capable of working under tight deadlines.
Preferred experience:
- Experience with Data Quality Profiling, Execution, and Measurement tools like Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) or Ab Initio Data Quality Environment (DQE).
- Experience in Finance, Accounting, or Finance Operations.
- Project management, Application Development, Information Architecture, and MS Excel/VBA skills are a plus.
- Ability to coach, provide feedback, and guide others.
- Detail-oriented and responsible, able to meet tight deadlines.
