Responsibilities:

Account & Territory Management

  • Develop new business and maintain existing customer relationships
  • Achieve sales growth aligned with company goals
  • Analyze accounts to identify opportunities and promote products through relationship-based selling
  • Ensure brand visibility with effective point-of-sale materials
  • Deliver professional sales presentations, including displays, merchandising, and promotions
  • Maintain customer records, prepare sales materials, and process orders
  • Collaborate with the national account team for program compliance

Product & Industry Knowledge

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of wines, including vintages, regional identity, awards, and press, as well as all M.S. Walker products
  • Educate staff through seminars on priority brands
  • Stay informed of company and supplier activities by attending weekly sales meetings

Collaboration & Team

  • Contribute to team goals
  • Exchange information with colleagues on selling strategies and marketing
  • Work with management to meet company and personal objectives

Learn & Develop

  • Complete a paid 2-4 week in-field training to learn the sales process and product offerings
  • Pursue ongoing self-education and professional growth

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fine wine wholesale, distribution, or importing with established client relationships
  • Strong knowledge of wine and spirits
  • Effective time management skills
  • Goal-oriented with a positive attitude and team spirit
  • Excellent relationship-building and sales skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to walk, sit, stand, reach overhead, and lift up to 45 lbs
  • Valid driver’s license required

Salary: Commission-based, ranging from $50K to $225K
