Overview

Accounting Associate position with a Bergen County, NJ-based real estate development company specializing in acquisition, development, and management of open-air shopping centers and retail properties throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic U.S. We pride ourselves on a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where each team member plays an integral role in shaping our portfolio and impact.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, including utilities and vendor invoices
• Maintain tenant and vendor insurance certificates (log and upload to Skyline)
• Assist with Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations and expense tracking
• Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements
• Support annual property budget uploads and financial reporting in Skyline
• Monitor hard and soft cost budgets across active development projects
• Maintain construction budget files and proposal recaps
• Oversee seasonal contract records (e.g., snow removal) and tenant compliance (HVAC, exhaust systems, insurance)
• Provide administrative support for property operations, including security camera systems and documentation requests

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with commercial real estate and/or Skyline accounting software is a plus
