Overview

Licensed Security Guard role at Andy Frain Services. Job summary includes providing security detail as outlined in the post orders and establishing working relationships with customers, local law enforcement and fire departments. Security personnel must maintain constant awareness of surroundings and demonstrate excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Control of entrances and movement of pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
• Patrol of buildings and perimeters.
• Escort of material and personnel.
• Inspection of security and fire exposures.
• Special assignments.
• Be on time and report to post in full uniform.
• Maintain professional image by greeting customers, visitors and employees politely.
• Be proactive in knowing all revisions to post orders and information from the customer and AFS.
• Patrol physical property or maintain fixed post position and report suspicious activity; investigate accidents and criminal acts.
• Monitor cameras or equipment as outlined in post orders.
• Maintain knowledge of emergency policies, procedures, and regulations to respond to alarms, incidents and emergencies.
• Complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, Incident Reports and all relevant reports.
• Suggest improvements to safety and loss prevention processes identified during daily routines.
• Have knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV systems, and other equipment; ensure safe operation of elevators and access doors; know authorized contractor personnel responsible for maintenance.
• Ensure training and compliance guidelines are met as outlined by AFS and other regulating agencies.
• Communicate daily with Security Supervisor any new security issues or changes to be considered or implemented.
