Job Description


As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrols in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter security-related incidents, and provide a reassuring presence for staff, patients, and visitors. You will deliver exceptional customer service, using strong communication skills to assist individuals and address inquiries.

Sat 09:45 PM - 06:00 AM



What You’ll Do



  • Use our scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

  • Fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise



Responsibilities



  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.

  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the healthcare location.

  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.

  • Observe and report unusual activity, security-related hazards, or incidents to the appropriate personnel.

  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.

  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency situations by following established protocols and providing clear communication.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements



  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Background check as required by federal, state, and local laws.

  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

  • Drug screening as permitted by law.

  • Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

  • A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
