POSITION SUMMARY:The Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and vendors at our Melbourne, FLlocation. This role is responsible for managing front desk operations with professionalism, warmth, andefficiency. RESPONSIBILITIES:Patient Interaction & Front Desk Management
- Greet patients and visitors with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Check patients in and out efficiently while verifying insurance and collecting co-pays.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments using the clinic’s EHR system.
- Manage incoming phone calls, voicemails, and messages with courtesy and accuracy.
Administrative & Clerical Support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and forms.
- Handle medical release forms, insurance verifications, and intake paperwork.
- Sort and distribute mail, process incoming faxes, and assist with outbound communication.
- Maintain front desk inventory (forms, office supplies) and ensure cleanliness of the receptionarea.
Team & Culture Support
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a smooth patient flow.
- Assist with onboarding new patients and help orient them to clinic services.
- Uphold the clinic’s branding and service standards in all guest-facing interactions.
- Escalate concerns or unusual patient issues to the Clinic Manager or appropriate staff member promptly.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of receptionist, customer service, or front office experience (healthcaresetting preferred).
- Proficiency in basic office software (Outlook, Excel, Word); experience with EHR systems (e.g.,Athenahealth) a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, punctual, and dependable with strong attention to detail.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
