Valley Health Partners - Care Differently
Job Summary: The optometrist will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care in the outpatient setting of the Community Vision Center. This role involves performing comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and treating ocular diseases, and prescribing vision aids, such as glasses and contact lenses. The optometrist will also help direct staff, support patient education and contribute to the growth and success of the practice.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive eye exams using optometric equipment and diagnostic testing.
Diagnose and treat ocular disease with appropriate medical interventions.
Prescribe, fit and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses and other vision aids.
Collaborate with other clinicians and staff to provide integrated patient care.
Provide leadership and support in the development of the Community Vision Center practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program
Current PA optometry license
Willingness to obtain CPR certification upon hire
Training/Certifications:
Board certification in optometry
