Sr. Business Analyst - Actimize / Financial Crimes Technology
Location: New York City (Manhattan area) - Hybrid 2/3 Days Onsite
Duration: 12 months+ Renewable Contract

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in Actimize platform solutions and financial crimes technology to join our Financial Crimes Technology (FCT) client in the New York area. This global team operates within the Non-Financial Risk Technology (NFRT) organization and plays a critical role in delivering innovative technology solutions for the Firm’s Global Financial Crimes (GFC) division. In this role, you will support Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions/PEP & Adverse News Screening, Know Your Customer (KYC), and Anti-Bribery & Corruption programs across Wealth Management, Institutional Banking & Capital Markets, Sales and Trading, and Investment Management.
This role offers the opportunity to influence next-generation solutions, optimize transaction monitoring and customer activity review processes, and help transform financial crime controls to meet evolving regulatory expectations.
In this role, you will partner with stakeholders to gather and analyze business and technology requirements, translating them into both strategic and tactical solutions that support AML and financial crime transformation initiatives. You will be responsible for writing clear requirements and design documentation in line with Agile (SCRUM) standards, performing in-depth data analysis, and defining as well as overseeing data quality controls for key applications. Working closely with technology teams, you will contribute to solution design, lead and participate in testing efforts, and ensure successful validation and approval of deliverables. Additionally, you will prepare comprehensive documentation of platform features and collaborate with global teams across Financial Crimes Technology (FCT) and Non-Financial Risk Technology (NFRT) to drive innovation while ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory expectations.
Requirements for the Business Analyst (Actimize / Financial Crimes):
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, including in AML/financial crime projects.
- Strong expertise with the Actimize platform and in-depth understanding of ACTONE features.
- Proficiency in SQL with hands-on experience working with RDBMS (DB2) databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across business and technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM), with Scrum certification preferred.
- Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development (BDD) is a plus.
