Job Description: The Medical Biller is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation, submission, and follow-up of hospital claims to Government payors. This role requires expertise in billing regulations, coding, and compliance to ensure accurate reimbursement and minimal denials.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and submit electronic and paper claims (inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary services). Verify patient eligibility and benefits. Review medical documentation to ensure proper ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding for claims. Resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and rejections; submit appeals and corrected claims as needed. Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable. Stay updated on billing regulations, policies, and compliance standards. Support audits and compliance reviews. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications: Hands-on hospital billing experience. Strong knowledge of clearinghouses and Government payor platforms. Strong computer and systems navigation skills. Demonstrated job stability with references verifying scope of work.
