Perform work involving general duty police work in the protection of life and property through the enforcement of Linn County ordinances and other pertinent local, State and Federal laws.
Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Deputy Sheriff with Linn County you must meet the following requirements:
Is a citizen of the United States and a resident of Iowa or intends to become a resident upon being employed
Is 18 years of age at the time of appointment
Has a valid driver's or chauffeur's license issued by the state of Iowa
Is a high school graduate with a diploma, or possesses a GED equivalency certificate
