SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist with a strong background in benefits, leave administration and a strong general knowledge of HR processes. In this role, you will manage employee benefits programs and leave of absence processes while supporting core HR functions to ensure compliance, efficiency, and employee satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

This position is based in Rohnert Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 – 5:00 pm. This is a hybrid role offering the flexibility to occasionally work remotely. Expected in-offices days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Subject to change. Remote candidates will not be considered for this role.

Compensation range is $82,800 - $108,675.
Compensation is determined based on non-discriminatory, business-related factors, including but not limited to, training, experience, education and/or professional certifications, geographic location, and market data.

In this role, you will manage employee benefits programs and leave of absence processes while supporting core HR functions to ensure compliance, efficiency, and employee satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries and provide guidance on eligibility, enrollment, and coverage.
- Coordinate annual open enrollment, including communication, system updates, and employee support.
- Collaborate with vendors and brokers to resolve benefit-related issues and manage plan renewals.
- Ensure accurate and timely benefits data entry in HRIS/payroll systems.
- Manage all aspects of leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA, short- and long-term disability, parental leave, and personal leaves.
- Serve as liaison between employees, managers, and third-party administrators regarding leave policies and procedures.
- Track leave status, ensure proper documentation, and maintain confidentiality and compliance with applicable laws.
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Maintain HRIS records and generate regular HR reports and dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with policy implementation, audits, and process improvements.
- Provide support on employee relations issues, HR communications, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Champion a high-performance culture by supporting continuous feedback, recognition programs, and leadership development efforts.
- Support payroll and act as payroll back if needed
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of HR experience, with demonstrated expertise in benefits and leave administration.
- Solid understanding of applicable federal and state laws (e.g., FMLA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, ADA).
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, UKG, Paylocity, etc.).
- Experience with HRIS upgrades or integrations a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
- Project Management experience a plus
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
