Experienced AME Pyro Seat Mechanic

to join our F/A-18 team in

San Antonio, TX .

Position Responsibilities: Maintain repairs and modifications ejection seat ignition systems, aircraft structures and structural components. Maintains aircraft canopy and seats for the fuels team (NACES II seat mechanic) Determine equipment malfunctions and restore equipment condition and operation by using knowledge of airframe and power plant systems Install and remove ejection seat ignition systems Prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects Interpret technical blueprints and manufacturer manuals

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 10+ years of experience with

ejection seat ignition systems 10+ years of experience with explosives and pyrotechnics relating to aircraft seats 10+ years of

experience installing and removing ejection seats on fighter jet 10+ years of experience in working with blueprints, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures Ability to work variable shifts (i.e. scheduled and unscheduled overtime; weekends and holidays) to support mission requirements and workload

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience in aircraft heavy maintenance (F/A-18 or Depot Leve/Modifications) Active Clearance

(A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Summary Starting Pay Rate : $78,000 / $37.50 per hour

Additive Pay: $1.00/hourly for Airframe Certification $1.00/hourly for Powerplant Certification
