AAON, Inc. Job Summary: The Manager of the IT Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for leading the governance, planning, and execution of IT projects across the organization. This role oversees a team of IT project managers and ensures consistent application of project management methodologies and best practices. The Manager plays a strategic role in aligning IT initiatives with business objectives, optimizing resource allocation, and driving project performance and value delivery. Primary Duties
Lead and manage the IT PMO team, including project managers, coordinators, and analysts. Establish and maintain PMO policies, procedures, templates, and tools to ensure standardized project execution. Oversee the IT project portfolio, prioritizing initiatives based on strategic alignment, resource availability, and ROI. Provide guidance and coaching to project teams on project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid). Monitor and report on project performance, including scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk metrics. Collaborate with IT leadership and business stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverables. Facilitate portfolio and project governance processes, including steering committee meetings and status reviews. Ensure proper resource allocation across IT projects and resolve conflicts or escalations as needed. Support budget planning, forecasting, and tracking for IT projects and programs. Promote a culture of continuous improvement in project delivery and team performance.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of IT project management experience, including 2+ years managing project managers or PMO teams. Strong knowledge of project and portfolio management tools (e.g., MS Project, ServiceNow, Jira, Smartsheet). Expertise in both traditional and Agile project delivery methodologies. PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification required. Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex IT initiatives with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Requirements
Experience in enterprise IT environments (e.g., infrastructure, cybersecurity, application development). Familiarity with ITIL or service management frameworks. Experience standing up or maturing a PMO function.

Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to process, analyze, problem solve, plan and manage projects and deliverables. Ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively. Visual, auditory, and computer usage skills.
Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office environment. Travel may be required.
