Hardware Engineer - GMD Weapon System
Onsite in Huntsville, AL Target salary range: $70,000 - $90,000.00 This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.) Active Secret Clearance Required Responsibilities: Provide engineering support to ensure hardware compliance with design requirements Evaluate equipment and generate design guidance and analysis products Develop technical documentation such as drawings, specifications, reports, and procedures Support the design, test, integration, and deployment of mechanical and structural systems or subsystems Review and interpret engineering specifications, electrical schematics, and drawings Translate customer requirements into system specifications Apply environmental engineering standards including MIL-STD and ASME documents Use analytical tools to interpret data and identify key design characteristics Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide mentorship to junior engineers Lead small teams in task planning and milestone execution Conduct systems engineering activities including trade studies, requirements derivation, risk analysis, and interface definition Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law Active Secret Clearance Required Education: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a STEM-related field Experience: 2+ years with Bachelor's; 0+ years with Master's CAD proficiency: Visio, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CREO, Siemens Capital (Logic/Harness), or NX Engineering systems: Teamcenter (PLM), SAP (MRP) Proficient in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint Experience developing technical documentation and CDRLs Knowledge of MIL and ASME standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810, ASME Y14.5, MIL-STD-464) Exposure to systems engineering domains such as verification/validation, supportability, and risk analysis Familiarity with GMD systems and MDA Core Standards (e.g., MDA-QS-001-MAP, MDA-QS-003-PMAP) Analytical software experience: ANSYS, GTStrudl, ABAQUS, STAAD, Femap, NX Simcenter, NASTRAN, Creo Simulation, SolidWorks Simulation Exposure to requirements and modeling tools such as DOORS and/or CAMEO Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% Moseley Technical Services, Inc. is an AA/EEO/Veterans/Disabled Employer Still have questions?
