We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth by representing our clients' brands and managing relationships with key customers in Special Markets. You will play a critical role in executing sales strategies, building market presence, and delivering value to both clients and customers. Location: South Central Texas/ Oklahoma region Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 based on experience, qualifications and skills. Act as the sales lead for assigned clients, managing relationships with key customers. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive market penetration. Present client product lines to buyers and decision-makers, focusing on assortment, promotional planning, and shelf execution. Identify new business opportunities and lead efforts to secure new placements and incremental sales. Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of sales initiatives. Analyze sales data and market trends to provide actionable insights and inform strategic decisions. Monitor competitive activity and industry developments to stay ahead of market changes. Provide regular reporting on sales performance, opportunities, and challenges. What You Should Bring To The Table
3 - 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the CPG or brokerage industry. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field (or equivalent experience) Previous CPG experience Deep understanding of retail environments, merchandising principles, and category dynamics. Familiar with buyer expectations and retail planning cycles. Experience with Special Markets (ex: off-price retailers, specialty retailers, vending, sporting goods, etc.) Ability to build new networks with limited introduction. Experience in uncovering new customers and building from the ground up. Strong ability to pitch, present, and close deals with buyers. Skilled in negotiating pricing, placement, promotional opportunities, and program execution. Capable of developing and executing sales strategies that align with client goals and customer needs. Understands how to identify growth opportunities within categories and channels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable presenting to buyers, internal leadership, and client teams. Proficient in analyzing sales data, customer trends, and category performance to drive decisions. Able to translate data into clear insights and action plans. Skilled at managing multiple accounts, deadlines, and deliverables simultaneously. Acts as a true extension of the client's team, representing their goals, voice, and standards. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) Assess to reliable transportation for regional travel Perks
