Senior Planner Location:
Newark, CA (onsite) Department:
Planning Responsibilities Plan, schedule, and coordinate the efficient movement of material through the production cycle. Create and manage work orders and maintain materials data input and integrity to control delivery and inventory costs. Report to Planning Manager. Located at the Unigen Headquarters in Newark, CA. Manage Project Material Requirements Planning (MRP). Load and create all demand into ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning). Align and allocate material to meet actual demand (customer build plan / forecast, Sales Order, and Plan Order). Manage Project Master Production Scheduling (MPS) from Demand to Ship; plan and adjust work orders to meet on-time delivery (OTD). Perform material What-if-Analysis (WIA) for demand loading. Coordinate efficient movement of material through the production cycle and monitor progress against the production schedule. Provide information to Program Manager (PM), Supply Chain Management (SCM) & Buyer for constraint materials and/or manufacturing issues. Coordinate and resolve material issues for work orders, rework, pilot builds, or qualification builds; maintain WO and SO aging for MRP notifications. Analyze and communicate demand schedule, material data, and inventory status. Monitor inventory levels to align with inventory turns goals. Seek cost reductions through production optimization, resource utilization, and inventory efficiency. Perform other tasks related to Purchasing and Warehouse / Logistics as assigned.
Qualifications
BS / BA degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering. Minimum 7 years of work experience in material planning and production scheduling in a fast-paced environment (CM or EMS industry). Ability to coordinate with different departments and teams to meet customer dates. Understanding of backend operations from sourcing, purchasing, PO tracking, receiving, IQC, warehousing, kitting, SMT, to system integration to close the work order cycle. Ability to plan and schedule based on material availability and work with MPS to schedule work orders.
Salary Range:
