Hybrid in Charlotte, NC We are seeking a highly skilled Telecom Engineer with hands-on experience in Nokia microwave radio systems and a strong background in IT transport technologies. This role involves supporting the design, deployment, and optimization of microwave backhaul solutions, ensuring robust and scalable transport infrastructure across our network. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate: $47 - $55 / hr. w2 Responsibilities

Design and implement microwave links using Nokia Wavence, including path analysis, frequency planning, and link budgeting Create path profiles using IQ Link and/or Pathloss software Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 transport protocols across microwave and fiber network backhaul systems Collaborate with IT and field engineering teams to integrate microwave systems into broader transport architecture Conduct site surveys and support field installations, commissioning, and acceptance testing Maintain documentation for network configurations, link performance, and system upgrades Monitor and analyze network performance metrics to ensure optimal throughput and reliability Provide technical support and training to internal teams on microwave and transport systems Experience Requirements

Experience with microwave systems, particularly Nokia Wavence Strong understanding of IP/MPLS, Ethernet, and transport network protocols Knowledge of basic DC power systems and grounding standards Familiarity with network management tools and microwave planning software Proficiency in troubleshooting and documentation Certifications in microwave or transport technologies (e.g., Nokia NRS, CWNP) are advantageous Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in transport networks Experience with line sweep equipment, spectrum analyzers, and other RF test equipment Familiarity with network monitoring systems such as Nokia NSP and NFMP systems Motivation to grow knowledge of microwave and other transport networks to provide support when needed Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field
