Overview
Data Monitoring Supervisor role at Volunteers of America Los Angeles (VOALA). The Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Department supports VOALA programs by data collection, validation, analysis, and providing data-driven recommendations for program improvements. The team ensures records and databases meet legal and funder requirements and supports audits and evaluations. Job Summary
The Data Monitoring Supervisor will supervise the data monitoring team to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent data collection and reporting. Develop and implement data quality assurance protocols and monitoring frameworks. Duties may be performed in collaboration with Funder staff and Program staff where applicable. Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the validation, cleaning, and analysis of program and operational data. Coordinate with program managers and stakeholders to ensure data integrity and compliance with reporting standards. Monitor performance indicators and generate dashboards and reports for internal and external use. Identify data trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement, and recommend corrective actions. Train staff on data entry procedures, monitoring tools, and reporting systems. Collaborate with IT and analytics teams to enhance data systems and tools. Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies. Support audits, evaluations, and external reviews by providing relevant data and documentation. Research social services best practices and run analysis to offer recommendations for strategic planning based on organization data and best practices. Essential Duties
Documentation and data entry review Coordinate with program managers and stakeholders to ensure data integrity and compliance with reporting standards. Maintain documentation of data review processes, findings, and corrective actions. Lead data quality audits and assist in preparing reports and KPIs for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with analysts and program staff to improve data collection tools and workflows. Provide feedback and training to staff on data quality best practices. Monitor data trends and flag potential issues for further investigation. Assist in the development and refinement of data review protocols and checklists. Other duties as required (subject to change based on the needs of the organization). Qualifications
Requirements
Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications. Education
Bachelors degree in Data Science, Public Administration, Statistics, or a related field. Experience
3 years experience in data monitoring, analysis, or evaluation, with supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications
