Warehouse/ Shipper
Description:
Assemble cartons for shipments; move materials and finished goods as required, by using hand trucks and forklifts; pack a variety of items/parts into cartons; process shipments for international and domestic orders; and maintain inventory stock locations in an orderly fashion.
More specifics:
Able to read and understand shipping order pick lists
Uses shipping order picklists, and other documentation as required, to pick and pack customer orders
Obtain parts and packed goods from various parts of the factory as directed
Assemble, weigh, and measure cartons with packed items/parts for orders.
Overpack smaller items into large cartons, or pallet packs, using the appropriate packing materials
Process shipments in an ERP system and logistics application, to create shipping labels, and attach proper shipping labels to cartons
Re-palletize product as needed for LTL orders
Deliver completed orders to the shipping dock.
Load and unload trucks and containers of finished goods with proper equipment.
Prepare trailers for loading by sweeping and inspecting trailer or container.
Maintain inventory of finished goods and packaging materials as needed and return stock to proper locations
Perform functions necessary to maintain proper storage of materials handled.
Load/unload bulk storage and pick zone areas with finished goods and supplies, using hand truck or forklift.
Remove excess pallets from work area and take to appropriate storage area.
Use slip sheets related to bulk handling and loading, and stretch wrapper or strapper as needed.
Fill supply orders and move pallets as needed
Receive in incoming materials against purchase order packing slips, process with data collection equipment, and move materials to proper storage locations
Requirements
-Forklift certification or willing to become certified
-Experience using computers/tablets and scanner a plus
