Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Clerk
in Irwindale, CA.
As a Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Clerk you will: Receive all inbound shipments. Unload incoming materials Complete receiving paperwork and system entry. Sort and inventory parts. Provide quality control for inbound shipments. Ship all outbound orders. Identify and prioritize daily shipping requirements. Ensure timeliness of preparations to meet shipping schedules. Prepare orders for shipping by pulling materials, packaging, and palletizing as needed. Prepare shipping documentation for domestic and international shipping. Provide quality control for outbound shipments. Maintain the warehouse and warehouse equipment. Manage warehouse supplies. Ensure proper maintenance and certification of all warehouse equipment. Ensure the warehouse and shipping areas are clean, ordered, and hazard free. Provide routine reporting to Management on conditions of warehouse and equipment. Conduct pickups and deliveries of product. Schedule and conduct local pickups and deliveries of product. Load and unload shipments by hand or with warehouse equipment as needed. Ensure maintenance of delivery vehicles. Provide excellent service and communication. Know and support all company policies, operating procedures, and safety procedures. Communicate with Sales to support expedites and resolve receiving/shipping problems. Make recommendations for improvements. This is a Full-Time Direct Hire Opportunity
The ideal candidate will:
Valid CA Driver's License. Good written and spoken English. Organized, dependable, self-motivated, detail-oriented and must have: Ability to work under deadline pressure and to prioritize work duties. Ability to lift and carry 50lb cartons. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically, Word and Excel. Ability to prepare clear written correspondence and reports to Sales/Management. Ability to calculate using proportions, percentages, time calculations, and volume calculations. Experience in a warehouse and/or shipping environment. Experience with scales, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts. Experience using online shipping programs such as UPS and FedEx. Experience scheduling and creating Bills of Lading for LTL shipments. Ability to operate a stake-bed truck. Can-do attitude. Willingness to learn.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm
Pay Rate : $23 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
