Lucid
Overview
Lucid Software is the leader in visual collaboration, helping teams see and build the future from idea to reality. Our products, business, and workplace culture have received numerous awards, such as being named to the Forbes Cloud 100 and a Fortune Best Workplace in Technology. Lucid is a hybrid workplace, allowing employees to work remotely, from one of our offices, or a combination of the two depending on the needs of the role and team. At Lucid, we hold true to our core values of teamwork over ego, innovation in everything we do, individual empowerment, initiative, and ownership, and passion and excellence in every area. We value diversity and are dedicated to creating an environment that is respectful and inclusive for everyone.
Role As a Software Engineer at Lucid Software you will be helping to build our world-class web applications that push the boundaries of what is possible in your browser. They are powerful HTML5/JavaScript applications that use a state of the art tech stack like Angular, TypeScript, Scala, and AWS to craft a user experience that feels like a desktop application.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
Collaborate with team members to set and achieve team goals
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Will have completed a BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field with a minor in Computer Science
High academic performance in Computer Science courses
Commitment to teamwork and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with JavaScript
Experience with CSS/HTML/DOM manipulation
Understanding of MySQL or other relational database
Bias towards finding solutions vs. shutting down ideas
Detail oriented and organized
Important Note:
These qualifications are what we are generally looking for but don’t expect you to meet them all. We know that everyone is an individual and brings with them additional knowledge and capabilities that will bring value with them to the job. We have an excellent mentorship program to help new employees come up to speed. If you tick off half or so of the bullet points and the others sound like areas you want to develop in, please apply.
