Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking a business development manager to drive new growth opportunities for films & smart surface solutions in automotive applications with a regional focus on tier ones and OEMs in the Americas and European region. This role requires a dynamic individual with technical acumen and commercial expertise to identify opportunities, shape value propositions, and deliver measurable business growth. What Will You Be Doing?
- Lead the creation, implementation, and execution of the business development strategy for automotive applications in defined regions and customer accounts. - Identify and develop new growth opportunities with OEMs, tier-1 suppliers, and ecosystem partners, building a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities. - Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, leveraging technical knowledge to translate product capabilities into real customer value. - Partner closely with the commercial team, line of business, product manager, technical, and marketing to win new programs and accelerate commercialization. - Drive value-based selling of our films & smart surface portfolio, aligning with customer roadmaps for displays, sensors, and smart interiors. - Support customer qualification processes, resolve technical challenges, and ensure smooth implementation of new materials. - Train and mentor selected salespeople on identifying opportunities and articulating the value of F&SSS solutions. - Actively expand the customer base and market reach, supporting MacDermid Alpha's growth objectives in automotive. Who Are You?
Bachelor's degree (chemicals, materials science, electronics, mechanical engineering, or related discipline). Minimum of 10 years' professional experience, including at least 3 years in business development or commercial roles and 7 years of technical/technology expertise.
