Onsite Support Engineer
CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for an Onsite Support Engineer within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting-edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities. The Onsite Support Engineer provides technical assistance and support to users at their physical location. Their responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, installing and configuring systems, and providing training and support to users. They also maintain accurate records of their activities and contribute to the development of support documentation. This position is located in USA VA Arlington, however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. Your future duties and responsibilities: Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems for users, both on-site and sometimes remotely. Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software. User Training and Support: Train users on how to effectively use hardware and software, providing ongoing support and guidance. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of support activities, including service requests, incident reports, and maintenance logs. Hardware Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs or replacements when necessary. Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with users to understand their needs, provide solutions, and escalate issues to appropriate teams. Compliance and Security: Follow established procedures for data security, compliance with relevant regulations, and maintenance of system security. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of support processes, documentation, and knowledge base. Remote Support: May provide remote support as needed, using remote access tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 2 to 5 years of experience Security Clearance: Able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly, active TS/SCI with Poly highly desired Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking, with experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with users and provide exceptional customer service. Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze technical problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work under pressure to meet deadlines. Documentation Skills: Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of support activities and contribute to the development of support documentation. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new technologies, learn new skills, and work with diverse user groups. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00.
