Construction Project Manager
We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized construction project manager to join our growing team. In this position, you will oversee superintendents, subcontractors, schedules, and project budgets. The project manager must have the ability to manage multiple projects at one time. The project manager must have at least five (5) years of experience as a commercial construction manager, or in a similar position in construction management. This is a full time, in-person position. Required Duties and Responsibilities: Manage projects to achieve or beat financial, safety, quality, other objectives set by ICBI. Work with estimators, purchasing, safety and superintendents on successful bids to provide a smooth and thorough transition to the project team. Direct preconstruction activities. Engage in conceptual planning for the project by directing and implementing the required budgetary and schedule needs. Identify potential value engineered details and/or materials to minimize project costs. Develop detailed descriptions of jobs and materials necessary to complete the project which are based on the project site size, complexity and customer needs. Price, negotiate and track change order requests and RFIs. Manage the submittal and RFI process. Identify potential challenges related to schedule, means and methods, coordination, etc. on a project and take a proactive approach to coming up with the best possible solution. Monitor and manage project labor and costs as compared with the budget. Address and resolve billing and payment issues. Manage resources and analyze data to improve our ability to spot and solve problem conditions. Complete project closeout. Address general contractors and owners issues to assure customer satisfaction is constantly achieved. Build and maintain enduring relationships with clients and other contacts industry wide. Participate in project management meetings. Provide leadership on the project by promoting a teamwork environment among all team members by facilitating kickoff engagements and holding coordination meetings. Coordinate with team on project tasks and requirements. Achieve all assigned metrics to ensure that assigned projects are operating efficiently and effectively.
