Shipping & Receiving Lead
As the Shipping & Receiving Lead at Edible Garden, you will oversee the logistics and transportation operations to ensure efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments. Your primary goal is to facilitate timely delivery of products while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. Job Responsibilities: Coordinate daily shipping and receiving schedules, ensuring prompt handling of incoming and outgoing shipments. Communicate effectively with drivers and carriers regarding pickups, loading, and delivery schedules, resolving any logistical issues promptly. Verify shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), ensuring accuracy and compliance with shipping regulations. Conduct quality inspections of incoming and outgoing products to verify specifications and ensure adherence to quality standards. Collaborate with Production to prioritize packing and staging of products to meet shipment deadlines. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, incoming shipments, and outgoing orders using inventory management systems. Monitor stock levels of materials and supplies, coordinating with Procurement to ensure adequate inventory levels. Implement and maintain Quality Control (QC) procedures to safeguard product integrity during transportation. Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, delivery delays, and customer complaints related to shipment quality or condition. Liaise with Sales and Production teams to fulfill special shipping requests and address customer delivery requirements effectively. Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 -- 40 per week Benefits: 401(k), dental insurance, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift, evening shift, Monday to Friday, weekends as needed Work Location: In person
