Our soon-to-be licensed Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Louisiana, is seeking a Fractional Medical Director to join our leadership team. We will be providing primary mental health and substance use disorder treatment, serving adult populations.
Position Details
Commitment : ~5 hours per week
Format : Virtual or hybrid
Status : Part-time independent contractor
Compensation : Monthly flat fee
Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medical histories
Provide medication management in coordination with the clinical treatment team
Participate in case reviews and contribute to individualized treatment planning
Ensure compliance with state regulations and clinical best practices
Qualifications
MD or DO Psychiatrist, or PMHNP licensed in Louisiana
Experience in mental health and substance use disorder treatment preferred
Strong collaboration skills and comfort working in a team-based model
Ability to work flexibly and autonomously

Requirements
Active, unrestricted license as an MD or DO Psychiatrist, or PMHNP in Louisiana
Board certification in Psychiatry (or Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification)
Minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience in psychiatric care, preferably in PHP / IOP or SUD treatment settings
DEA registration in good standing
Strong knowledge of evidence-based psychiatric practices for mental health and substance use disorders
Ability to conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and provide ongoing medication management
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and telehealth platforms
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Understanding of Louisiana regulatory requirements for behavioral health programs
Ability to commit approximately 5 hours per week, with flexibility for occasional meetings or urgent consultations
